Member Training and Management (AC 103)

AmeriCorps members represent a critical resource your AmeriCorps program is leveraging in your community. As such, creating a structure and environment in which each of your AmeriCorps members feels confident and supported in his/her mission is critical to your AmeriCorps program’s success in reaching its impact goals. This course will review AmeriCorps member management requirements and best practices to ensure all AmeriCorps*Connecticut programs are positioned to engage and support members who successfully complete their service terms. Content includes AmeriCorps and Connecticut Commission on Community Service compliance elements, creating the right environment for service, setting clear expectations, orienting and training members, prioritizing member development, and helping members connect with other AmeriCorps members.
